Desk Report:
The inaugural edition of ‘Face of Tomorrow 2026,’ an initiative aimed at discovering new-generation acting talent, wrapped up in a grand celebration on Monday (August 10, 2026) at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital. The final results were officially announced during the event’s flagship segment, the ‘Grand Cinematic Gala.’
Out of more than 5,471 contestants from across the country, the top 20 finalists were selected following several rounds of auditions, evaluations, specialized workshops, and an intensive Cinematic Bootcamp.
Raisa Sultana and M H S Labon emerged as the champions of the competition, securing a prize of BDT 5 lakh. The first runners-up title went to Sifna and Shoumik with a BDT 3 lakh prize, while Moonmoon and Tomal claimed second runners-up, taking home BDT 1 lakh.
The judging panel comprised prominent figures from the local screen industry: acclaimed director AnimeshAich, alongside celebrated actresses Rita FariaRichiSolaiman and NazninHasanChumki. Their guidance played a vital role in assessing the participants’ acting skill, stage presence, performance, character embodiment, and overall potential.
State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yasser Khan Chowdhury, MP, graced the occasion as the chief guest. The ceremony was also attended by filmmakers, actors, media personnel, and cultural personalities.
Moving beyond a typical talent hunt, the platform is launching 10 short films starring the top 20 contestants under a project titled ‘CholoGhureAsi.’ The films will feature stories highlighting Bangladesh’s regional diversity, culture, landscapes, and everyday life, with distinct directors, characters, and narrative styles assigned to each project.
Cast selections have already been finalized for several upcoming short films, including ‘Durer Manush,’ ‘Devi,’ and ‘Maya Neer,’ pairing the fresh talent with experienced professionals and directors.
Organizer Marketers 360 Degree emphasized that the initiative is designed as a long-term artist development program rather than a one-time contest, adhering to their core philosophy: “We Don’t Just Discover Artists, We Develop Them.” The organization plans to continue nurturing young talent through structured training, professional exposure, and real-world production opportunities.
