Technology Media Guild Bangladesh (TMGB) held a courtesy call and discussion meeting at the Russia House in Dhaka to strengthen mutual communication between technology journalism and media between Bangladesh and Russia. A delegation comprising members of the organization’s executive committee participated in the meeting.

The delegation, led by TMGB President Mohammad Kawsaruddin, participated in the meeting with Alexandra A. Khlevnoi, Director of Russia House. TMGB Vice Presidents Kumar Bishwajit Roy and Moidul Islam, General Secretary Mursalin Haque Junaid, Treasurer Mahadi Hasan Shimul, Organizing Secretary Golam Dastgir Touhid, Publicity and Publication Secretary Naznin Akhter Lucky and Executive Members Nazmul Hossain and Rahim Sheikh were present at the time.

The meeting discussed various aspects of enhancing cooperation between Bangladesh and Russia in science and technology journalism and media. In particular, both sides expressed interest in organizing joint media workshops, master classes, professional training and various programs to improve the skills of science and technology journalists.

The Russian House expressed its interest in providing necessary support to these initiatives. In addition, the possibility of establishing long-term professional contacts between Bangladesh and Russian media organizations was also discussed.
During the discussion, the delegation was informed by Alexandra A. Khlevnoi, Director of the Russian House, about various activities of the Russian House, as well as opportunities for higher education under Russian government scholarships, Russian language education, and participation of Bangladeshi children, youth and professionals in various international events and short-term programs.
In addition, the possibility of enhancing the skills of science and technology journalists and media professionals and establishing long-term professional contacts between Bangladesh and Russian media organizations was also discussed.
