On Tuesday (11 August 2026), Acting Speaker of the National Assembly of Bangladesh Barrister Kaiser Kamal, MP participated in the prayer and Milad Mahfil held at the mosque in the Parliament Building after Zohar at the initiative of the Bangladesh National Assembly Secretariat for the soul of the late former Acting President and Speaker Barrister Zamir Uddin Sarkar.
The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Later, in the prayers and supplications, In addition to seeking the eternal peace of former Acting President and Speaker Barrister Zamir Uddin Sarkar, the souls of martyred President Ziaur Rahman, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, valiant freedom fighters and individuals who sacrificed themselves in the country’s democratic movement at various times were prayed for.
At this time, special prayers were offered for the President, Prime Minister, Acting Speaker, members of the Cabinet, Chief Whip and Whips, members of Parliament and the overall peace, progress, prosperity and welfare of the country and the nation. At the same time, special prayers were offered to the Almighty Allah for the success of the activities of the National Assembly and the peace, unity and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah.
The Secretary of the Bangladesh National Parliament Secretariat, officials and employees of the Parliament Secretariat, and other dignitaries were present at the prayer and milad mahfil.
