Corps of Engineers Annual Captains Conference-2024 held

On Thursday (December 12, 2024), the Corps of Engineers Annual Captain’s Conference-2024 was held at the Engineer Center and School of Military Engineering (ECSME) in Qadirabad Cantonment. Honorable Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, PSC were present as the Chief Guest on the occasion. On reaching the Army Chief Engineer Center and School of Military Engineering, he was met by the GOC, Army Training and Doctrine Command; Army Engineer-in-Chief and Commandant, Engineer Center and School of Military Engineering gave the welcome.

The Chief of Army Staff addressed the Commanders and other officers of the Corps of Engineers present at the conference and discussed various issues including technical development, research, professional skill enhancement and future plans of the Corps. At the same time, he remembered all the brave freedom fighters, including the Corps of Engineers, who sacrificed their lives in the Great War of Independence. The Army Chief highlighted the glorious tradition of the Corps of Engineers in building the country and nation, besides praising various developmental activities in the service of the country. He expressed hope that the Corps of Engineers will continue to play a commendable role in the development of the nation through development activities with honesty, sincerity and sense of duty.

In the event, GOC, Army Training and Doctrine Command; Engineer-in-Chief; Other senior military officers of the headquarters; Commandant, Engineer Center and School of Military Engineering; Commanders of all Engineer Brigades of Bangladesh Army; Captains of engineer units and media persons were present.
