Australian government signs Tk 137 crore aid agreement for Rohingya and local communities

Diplomatic Desk:

An agreement regarding the Australian government’s humanitarian assistance to improve the quality of life of the Rohingya and local communities has been signed in the presence of Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed.

The agreement worth 16 million Australian dollars (Tk 137 crore) signed between the Australian Government and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) was signed today (Wednesday, June 24, 2026) at the conference room of the Ministry of Home Affairs at the Secretariat by Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Susan Rile and UNICEF Representative in Bangladesh Rana Flowers.
