Bangladesh, Malaysia sign MoU on culture to further expand bilateral cooperation

With a view to further expanding bilateral cooperation between Bangladesh and Malaysia, agreements and documents have been exchanged on three important issues – culture, counter-terrorism and investment.

These agreements and bilateral documents were signed at a high-level meeting between the two countries’ prime ministers at the Prime Minister’s Office in Putrajaya, Malaysia, on Monday (June 22, 2026) morning.

Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim were present at the meeting. After the meeting, Bangladesh Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and Malaysian Foreign Minister Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohammad bin Haji Hassan exchanged these documents on behalf of their respective countries in the presence of the two leaders.
