The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The meeting began at 10 am today (June 9, 2026) at the Public Administration Meeting Room of the Cabinet Division of the Bangladesh Secretariat. The meeting ended at 1:15 pm.
It is reported that the meeting discussed in detail the country’s ongoing development projects, progress in the infrastructure sector, power and energy security, increasing agricultural production, expanding healthcare and developing the education sector.
Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Home Minister Salah Uddin Ahmed, Power and Energy Minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmud Tuku, Commerce Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir, Water Resources Minister Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain, Agriculture Minister Mohammad Amin Ur Rashid, Law Minister Md. Asaduzzaman, Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Sheikh Rabiul Alam, along with state ministers, advisors and secretaries of various ministries, were present at the meeting.
