An important meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) was held at the Bangladesh Secretariat in the capital on Sunday (April 26, 2026) morning. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is presiding over the meeting.
The 10th meeting of ECNEC for the 2025-26 fiscal year began in the meeting room of the Cabinet Division. Important development projects of various ministries are scheduled to be discussed in the meeting.
Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Sheikh Rabiul Alam, along with other members of the committee, are present in the meeting.
In addition, secretaries and senior officials of the concerned ministries also participated in the meeting. It is learned that the ongoing and proposed development projects of the country may be reviewed and approved in the meeting.
