SSC and equivalent exams begin across the country, CCTV surveillance for the first time

This year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent exams have begun simultaneously across the country today, Tuesday (April 21, 2026) from 10 am. A festive atmosphere was observed among students and guardians on the first day of the exam.

On the first day, the Bangla (Compulsory) First Paper and Easy Bangla First Paper exams were held in 9 general education boards. At the same time, the Quran Majeed and Tajweed exams were conducted in the Madrasa Education Board and the Bengali Second Paper exams were conducted in the Technical Education Board.

According to the latest information from the Inter-Education Board, a total of 18 lakh 57 thousand 344 candidates are participating under 11 education boards of the country this year. Of these, the number of boys is 9 lakh 30 thousand 305 and the number of girls is 9 lakh 27 thousand 39.

Special security measures have been taken this time to conduct the exam in a fair, cheating-free and positive environment. For the first time, CCTV cameras have been installed in every examination center. In addition, the use of modern technology, including ‘digital tracking’, has been ensured in the transportation of question papers.

The Ministry of Education said that all the officials and administration concerned at the field level have been instructed to exercise maximum caution and cooperation to maintain the overall environment of the examination.
