A courtesy call was held by the Honorable Defense Advisor Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. AKM Shamsul Islam, PSC, G, with the US Ambassador to Bangladesh, Brent T. Christensen.
The meeting held at his office on Sunday (March 29, 2026) resulted in fruitful discussions on bilateral defense cooperation and various issues of mutual priority. In the meeting, both sides emphasized on further strengthening the existing defense cooperation.
During the meeting, they expressed optimism about further strengthening future partnerships in various sectors of mutual interest. In addition, the commitment to continue the ongoing cooperation between Bangladesh and the United States to maintain regional stability and security was reiterated.
