The Bangladesh Archery Team, which won the gold medal after defeating Vietnam in the compound men’s team event of the Asia Cup Archery Tournament (Stage-1) held in Bangkok, Thailand, returned home on Sunday (March 29, 2026).
The champion team was given a reception upon landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital by plane from Bangkok. On behalf of the State Minister for Youth and Sports, Youth and Sports Secretary Md. Mahbub-ul-Alam welcomed the Bangladesh Archery Team with flowers at the airport.
At that time, he expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes to the players, coaches and concerned officials for the team’s extraordinary success.
At that time, the Youth and Sports Secretary said, winning the gold medal by defeating Vietnam in a prestigious event like the Asia Cup is a glorious achievement for our country. He said, “I firmly believe that our archery team will achieve greater success in the international arena in the future and raise the flag of Bangladesh higher on the world stage.”
