Honorable Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has inaugurated the ‘nationwide river, canal, canal and reservoir excavation and re-excavation’ program, one of the election promises of the current government to protect the environment and strengthen climate resilience.
On Monday (March 16, 2026), he officially inaugurated the program by excavating the ‘Sahapara Canal’ in the Balrampur area of Kaharol Upazila of Dinajpur.
