Grand Mezbani was held at the Golf Club with garment industry owners and business representatives under the initiative of BGMEA Sammilita Parishad

A grand Mezbani and discussion session were organized by Sammilito Parishad on Saturday (16 November, 2024) at Bangladesh Golf Garden, Army Golf Club, in anticipation of the upcoming BGMEA elections. The event was hosted by Abul Kalam, Chairman of Chaity Group and General Secretary of Sammilito Parishad, and brought together prominent leaders and representatives of the garment industry.

The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome speech from the host, Abul Kalam. The session was presided over by Kazi Moniruzzaman, President of Sammilito Parishad and a former president of BGMEA. The event was seamlessly moderated by M. Kafil Uddin Ahmed, Chairman of Rashid Group.

Speakers at the event discussed the achievements, challenges, and future potential of the garment industry in Bangladesh. They emphasized the importance of dedicated and capable leadership to ensure sustainable development and a green revolution in the sector. Many attendees expressed their support for Abul Kalam as a future leader of the industry.

Former FBCCI President Abdul Awal Mintu, BCB President Farooq Hussain and BFF President Tabid Awal were present at the “Mezbani” event.

Former minister and former BGME president Redwan Ahmed, former BGMEA president Mostafa Golam Quddus, former BGME president Engineer Qutubuddin Ahmed, former BGMEA president SM Fazlul Haque, former BGMEA president Khandkar Rafiqul Islam were present.

Bangladesh Textile Mills Association BTMA President Shaukat Aziz Russell, BKMEA Executive President Fazle Shamim Ehsan were also present. President Ershad Ullah and General Secretary Tanveer Ahmed of Chittagong Joint Council were present. Owner of Stylish Garments Salauddin Chowdhury was present. Zainal Abedin Farooq, chairman of Job Sweater, was present. Also, thousands of owners of Bangladesh’s largest garment industry were present.

The evening concluded with a grand Mezbani, featuring basmati rice, beef kala bhuna, beef rezala, Buter Dal with mutton, mash dal, and yogurt, ensuring a memorable experience for the attendees.

The event underscored unity among garment sector leaders and highlighted the collective commitment to the industry’s progress and resilience.
