Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi telephoned Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman.
The ongoing regional situation and the overall security and welfare of Bangladeshi immigrants in Qatar were discussed during the telephone conversation. Qatar assured to take necessary measures to ensure the safety of Bangladeshi citizens.
He described Bangladesh-Qatar relations as close and friendly and said that Bangladeshis living in Qatar are playing an important role in the country’s development activities.
