Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmed Al Sabah telephoned Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman. The ongoing regional crisis and the security situation of Bangladeshi immigrants in Kuwait were discussed in detail during the conversation.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister assured to take all necessary measures to ensure the overall security, safety and welfare of Bangladeshis living in his country. Referring to the long-standing brotherly relations between Bangladesh and Kuwait, he said that Bangladeshis living in Kuwait are making an important contribution to the country’s development and economy.
He expressed deep shock and concern over the death of two Bangladeshi citizens and the injury of several others in the context of the ongoing conflict and reiterated his commitment to ensure the safety of civilians.
