Nurul Islam appointed as Chief Whip of the National Assembly, six whips appointed

The Chief Whip and Whips of the 13th National Assembly have been newly appointed by the President’s order. This information was given in a separate notification signed by Secretary of the National Assembly Secretariat, Kaniz Maula on Monday (March 2). The notification states that the President has made this appointment in accordance with Article 3(1) of The Bangladesh (Whips) Order, 1972 (P.O. 64 of 1972).

The newly appointed whips are:

1. Alhaj GK Gous, Member of Parliament from Habiganj-3 constituency
2. Alhaj Rakibul Islam Bakul, Member of Parliament from Khulna-3 constituency
3. Mia Nuruddin Ahmed Apu, Member of Parliament from Shariatpur-3 constituency
4. Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu, Member of Parliament for Natore-2
5. Md. Akhtaruzzaman Mia, Member of Parliament for Dinajpur-4
6. A. B. M. Ashraf Uddin (Nijan), Member of Parliament for Lakshmipur-4
