The closing ceremony of the month-long 30th Dhaka International Trade Fair was held on Saturday (January 31, 2026) at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal.

Commerce Advisor Sheikh Bashiruddin was present as the chief guest and declared the closing of the fair.
Export orders worth Tk 224 crore were received in the 30th edition of the Dhaka International Trade Fair and products worth Tk 393 crore were sold.
This information was given at the closing ceremony of the 30th Dhaka International Trade Fair at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal today, Saturday (January 31).

The closing ceremony was presided over by Mahbubur Rahman, Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce. Mohammad Hasan Arif, Vice-Chairman and CEO of the Export Promotion Bureau, was present as the guest of honor.
The closing ceremony also informed that 329 domestic and foreign companies have participated in DITF 2026. Out of which, a total of 11 companies from 06 countries (India, Turkey, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Malaysia) apart from Bangladesh are participating in this year’s event.
The participating companies, including cottage, micro, small, medium and heavy industries, exhibited and sold clothing, leather products, jute and jute products, agricultural and agricultural processed products, furniture, electrical and electronic products, cosmetics, home furnishings, toys, stationery, home decor, crockery, handicraft products, plastic products, melamine, herbal and toiletries, imitation jewelry, real estate industry products and services, fast food and various services.
Like every year, this time too, through an on-site survey of the 30th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF)-2026, it has been found that some of the products displayed by all the companies can be considered as new products:
According to the information received from 329 domestic and foreign companies participating in DITF-2026, the amount of potential export orders received by them is 17.98 million US dollars or 224.26 crore taka. The sectors capable of receiving export orders are multipurpose jute products, electrical and electronics, home appliances, cosmetics, hygiene products, processed food, handlooms, textile products, home textiles, Nakshi Kantha, fabrics, etc. The countries from which export orders have been received are Afghanistan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Turkey.
In addition, approximately 393 (three hundred and ninety-three) crore taka worth of goods and materials (including restaurants) were purchased and sold locally. It is to be noted that the sales price in DITF-2026 has increased by 3.42 percent compared to the last DITF-2025.
The best pavilions, stalls and organizations participating in various categories were recognized by giving awards at the closing ceremony of the fair. 40 organizations were nominated as the best in various categories based on the criteria of construction structure, architectural beauty and decoration/interior decoration, product display and customer and visitor service quality and customer satisfaction, compliance with the terms and conditions of the allotment letter, cleanliness and hygiene, contribution as digital content and exporter/product manufacturer, and innovation.
With the aim of diversifying export products and markets and increasing the capacity of exporters, the Ministry of Commerce, Government Trade Promotion Organizations (BSCIC, SME Foundation and JDPC), Product-Based Trade Associations (BPGMEA, BGAPMEA, (BFPIA) and BanglaCraft) and Development Cooperation Organizations (World Bank, GIZ, FCDO, BSI) have organized 08 seminars as sideline events of the fair under the initiative of the Export Promotion Bureau under the Seminar Series.
To present the combination of local folk music and modern songs and provide additional entertainment to the visitors, a cultural evening was organized at the 30th Dhaka International Fair-2026 with renowned artists.
To make this year’s trade fair more attractive, arrangements were made to allocate stalls and pavilions online and purchase entry tickets to the fair. For the convenience of visitors, a concession rate Pathao service was added along with the dedicated bus service of BRTC. This year’s trade fair saw the construction of Bangladesh Square to display stills commemorating the Language Movement of 1952, the Liberation War of Bangladesh and the July 2024 Movement.
Keeping in mind the potential foreign buyers and local visitors, Export Enclave was created by highlighting the capabilities of the country’s 07 leading export sectors. To make the arrival of senior citizens at the fair enjoyable, pleasant, comfortable and convenient, Senior Citizen Corner, Mother and Child Service Center and Children’s Park were arranged to provide pure joy and entertainment to children. Several voluntary organizations conducted health awareness campaigns at the fair. CCTV surveillance, presence of law enforcement members and fire brigade were deployed to ensure security and prevent fire accidents. The Department of Consumer Rights Protection conducted regular campaigns at the fair throughout the month to control the quality of food products and prevent consumer harassment.
In addition, approximately 393 (three hundred ninety-three) crore taka worth of goods and materials (including restaurants) were purchased and sold locally. It is to be noted that the sales value increased by 3.42 percent in DITF-2026 compared to the last DITF-2025.
