Russian Ambassador to Dhaka gives special message in ‘Special January, 2026 Edition’ of “Business in Bangladesh Newsletter” on the occasion of English New Year

To the readers of the Special New Year Edition of Business in Bangladesh
It is an immense pleasure for me to address the readers of Business in Bangladesh. On the occasion of the publication of the Special New Year edition of the magazine I wish everyone prosperity, harmony and success in 2026. Let the new year begin with high spirits and inspiration.
Nowadays, the hearts of Bangladeshi people are full of great expectations with long-awaited parliamentary elections to take place in February, 2026. Whichever political force comes to power, Russia aspires to continue the traditions of friendship and dynamic partnership with Bangladesh built on mutual respect, trust, and shared interests. Our collaboration has successfully developed across multiple sectors — including trade and investment, energy, defense, culture, education and sports. Our countries exchange support on mutually important initiatives within the UN, interact on such multilateral platforms as ASEAN Regional Forum, Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and Indian Ocean Rim Association. I hope that decades of fruitful collaboration will always be a source of inspiration for us, and that the next year will be marked by new heights attained and more goals achieved for the benefit of our peoples.
In the upcoming year, Russia will showcase its hospitality by hosting such diversemultilateral events as Future Technologies Forum, International Transport and Logistics Forum, Caucasus Investment Forum, St. Petersburg Economic Forum, etc. Moreover, the Russian city of Kazan is declared Cultural Capital of the Islamic World in 2026, so a dynamic program is being planned to bring together representatives of Muslim countries.
Finally, I express my appreciation to the team of Business in Bangladesh for comprehensive coverage of trade, economy, investment and international relations, and wish them success in future endeavors.
