EU delegation pays courtesy call on Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman

On Wednesday (January 7, 2026), a three-member delegation led by Paola Pampaloni, Director of the Asia and Pacific Department of the European External Action Service, paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at his office in Bashundhara.

The other members of the delegation were Mr. Michael Miller, Ambassador of the European Union, and Ms. Monica Bailait, Deputy Head, South Asia Department, European External Action Service.

The Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer was accompanied by former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Md. Taher, Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Central Publicity and Media Department Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, Senior Lawyer of the Supreme Court Advocate Mohammad Shishir Monir, and Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Ameer-e-Jamaat, Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan.
