BCB writes to ICC to move Bangladesh’s matches from India in upcoming T20 World Cup

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has requested the International Cricket Council (ICC), the main governing body of cricket, to move Bangladesh’s matches in the T20 World Cup to be held in India next month.

In a statement on Sunday (January 4, 2026), the BCB said, “The Bangladesh government has expressed deep concern about the national team’s participation in the World Cup on Indian soil, considering several recent incidents.”

The 10th edition of the T20 World Cup will be held in India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8.
