Two more political parties have joined the eight political parties that are partners in the Jugpat Andolan. The two newly joined parties are the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) led by Col. (retd.) Oli Ahmed and the National Citizens Party (NCP).
Their names were announced at a press conference of the eight-party alliance at the National Press Club on Sunday (December 28) at 5 pm.
The names of the newly joined parties were announced by Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at the press conference.
The eight parties that were already in the alliance are Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Islami Andolan Bangladesh, Bangladesh Khelafat Andolan, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis, Khelafat Majlis, Nejame Islam Party, Jatiya Ganatantrik Party and Bangladesh Development Party.
