BGMEA Signs MoU with Parkway Hospitals Singapore for International Healthcare Collaboration

The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with internationally renowned Singapore-based healthcare provider, Parkway Hospitals Singapore Private Limited, to provide premium healthcare services to BGMEA members and their families.

Under this agreement, BGMEA members and their family members will now have access to specialized healthcare facilities at four leading Singaporean hospitals: Mount Elizabeth Hospital Orchard, Mount Elizabeth Hospital Novena, Gleneagles Hospital, and Parkway East Hospital.

The MoU was signed on Wednesday (10 December 2025) at the BGMEA office in North Dhaka. On behalf of BGMEA, Directors Shah Raied Chowdhury and Nafis-ud-Doula signed the agreement, while Mr. Zahid Hasan Khan, Director of IHH Healthcare’s Bangladesh office, signed on behalf of Parkway Hospitals Singapore Private Limited. Senior officials from both organizations were also present during the ceremony.

BGMEA members and their families will benefit from exclusive discounts on various fixed healthcare packages, including executive health screenings. Additional benefits include 24-hour hotline access (01711438877), assistance with medical visas and appointments, and transportation from Changi Airport to the hospitals. Members will also receive priority appointments with leading medical specialists, complimentary treatment plans, and “Meet-the-Doctors” sessions, among other healthcare services.

Speaking on the occasion, BGMEA Director Shah Raied Chowdhury said, “We are delighted to partner with a world-class institution like Parkway to ensure quality international healthcare for BGMEA members and their families. This is part of BGMEA’s ongoing efforts to safeguard the welfare of our members.”

Director Nafis-ud-Doula added, “This MoU reflects BGMEA’s commitment to its members. Our members can now access international-standard medical care with ease and priority, helping ensure their continued health and well-being.”

Previously, BGMEA had signed two rounds of MoUs with 14 local hospitals and diagnostic centers to provide enhanced healthcare services for its members, employees, and their families.

Mr. Zahid Hasan Khan, Director of IHH Healthcare Bangladesh, said, “Through this partnership with BGMEA, we are ready to provide world-class healthcare to BGMEA members. In the past, several Bangladeshi Presidents, former BGMEA Presidents, and many VIPs have accessed urgent medical care through our hospitals, including via air ambulance. We will ensure such essential services are available for BGMEA’s esteemed members.”

The MoU, signed under the dedicated initiative and overall supervision of BGMEA Director Shah Raied Chowdhury, will take effect from 10 December 2025 and remain valid until 9 December 2027.

Parkway Hospitals Singapore Private Limited is an integral part of IHH Healthcare, Asia’s largest private healthcare provider. The organization is renowned for its specialized services across general medicine, surgery, cardiology, oncology, and neuroscience.
