The United States and Bangladesh have reaffirmed their commitment to work together to strengthen regional security. With this goal in mind, the 12th Bilateral Defense Dialogue between the two countries was held in Dhaka from December 9-11.
Brigadier General Sarah Ross of the US Indo-Pacific Command participated in the dialogue on behalf of the United States and Brigadier General Md. Ali Haider Siddiqui of the Bangladesh Army participated on behalf of Bangladesh.
The discussions emphasized further strengthening the bilateral defense and security partnership, increasing mutual capabilities in crisis management, developing maritime domain awareness, and expanding cooperation in military education.
