Bilateral Talks Held to Strengthen Bangladesh-Thailand Relations

Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Ambassador of Thailand to Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on Wednesday (10 December) on Mr. Md. Touhid Hossain, Adviser for Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on ongoing bilateral initiatives and mechanisms. It was noted that expediting these initiatives in 2026 could enhance the momentum of bilateral relations.

Key topics discussed included the possible establishment of a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and the development of a new maritime route between Ranong and Chittagong Port. Both countries expressed their interest in strategic cooperation and expanding trade relations.
