The Danish Embassy in Bangladesh organized βπ·ππππππβπ΅ππππππππ β π΅π’π ππππ π ππππ‘ππππ βππ πΈπ£πππ‘β where key business partners and stakeholders were welcomed. The event was held at the Danish Residence.

Danish Ambassador Kristian Brix Moller highlighted the strong momentum of economic relations between the two countries. He said that bilateral trade is expected to grow by 20% by 2023-2024 to reach around US$ 1.5 billion. The positive trend remains for 2025 as well. Notable Danish investments include Impact Fund Denmarkβs Tk 120 crore investment in the healthcare sector and APM Terminalsβ $ 550 million port project in Chittagong, the largest European investment in Bangladesh to date. These developments clearly show that Denmark has strong faith in Bangladeshβs economic direction.

At the event, Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder, Head of the Electoral Reform Commission, provided a brief assessment of the current political situation and noted that it is essential to ensure the credibility of the political process through strengthening and reforming institutions.

In addition, Dr. Mohammad Abdur Razzak, Chairman of Research and Policy Integration for Development (RAPID), provided an analysis of the economy, competitiveness, export potential, and key reforms needed for LDC graduation and long-term growth in Bangladesh after the July coup.
