UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PHP Motors Limited, part of the renowned PHP family. This collaboration aims to provide various opportunities for students, including internships, research initiatives, and workshops, thereby enhancing educational experiences for UCSI students.

The agreement was officially signed today, on Thursday (December 11, 2025), in the hall room of UCSI University Bangladesh in Banani, Dhaka. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, His Excellency Mohd Shuhada Othman, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh. Also in attendance were Mr. Mohammad Akhtar Parvez, Managing Director of PHP Motors Limited; Mr. Ariful Bari Majumdar, Senior Vice President of UCSI University Bangladesh and Chairman and Managing Director of Insight Institute of Learning; Professor Dr. Mohd Kushairi Bin Mohd Rajuddin, Pro Vice Chancellor of UCSI University Bangladesh; alongside faculty members and senior officials from both institutions.



The MoU was signed on behalf of UCSI University Bangladesh by Professor Dr. Shah Samiur Rashid, Registrar, and Mr. Taseer Karim, Executive Director of PHP Motors Limited. Their signatures marked a significant step towards collaboration in the fields of education and industry.


In his welcome address, Professor Dr. Kushairi highlighted the academic excellence that UCSI University aims to achieve and expressed optimism that this partnership will be mutually beneficial.
Mr. Mohammad Akhter Parvez emphasized that the MoU will open new doors for students at UCSI University Bangladesh, stating, “We are proud to collaborate with UCSI University, and we see assisting students as our responsibility.”
He also mentioned the growing popularity of Malaysian Perodua vehicles in Bangladesh and the extensive service network PHP Motors has in Dhaka and Chattogram, along with their PVS mobile application for ordering spare parts.

Chief Guest, His Excellency Mohd Shuhada Othman, remarked that the agreement between PHP Motors and UCSI University Bangladesh symbolizes a meaningful development. He noted that this cooperation will undoubtedly enhance professional skills within both organizations and provide Bangladeshi students with access to high-quality education, aligned with international standards.
High Commissioner emphasized that cooperation in areas such as student placement, training, community engagement, career development, and industry exploration will positively contribute to the evolving education sector and the rapidly growing automotive market in Bangladesh. He added that Malaysian institutions and brands see long-term potential and value in Bangladesh, which is reflected in this partnership.

After the MoU signing, the High Commissioner of Malaysia visited different sections of the UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus, accompanied by Bangladeshi media professionals—Mohammad Shajibul-Al-Rajib, Editor of Business in Bangladesh; S. M. Sohel Rana, Deputy Editor of Daily Amar Barta; and Md. Zahidur Rahman, Senior Reporter of NTV. They toured the campus together and participated in a photo session during the visit.
