A grand Malaysian Night Gala Dinner was held at Hotel Intercontinental on Saturday (December 6, 2025) to mark the Malaysia Tourism Fair.

Organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) and the National Department for Culture and the Arts (JKKN), the event mesmerized the audience with a captivating display of Malaysia’s rich heritage and culture. The performance was led by Ms. Lydia Irfian Binti Mohd Isa, International Relations Division, MOTAC.

The event was officially inaugurated by Malaysian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Mohammad Shuhada Osman. He said, “The existing friendly relations between Malaysia and Bangladesh are deepening, based on trust, mutual respect and common aspirations.”

The High Commissioner further noted that the relationship between the two countries has developed significantly over the past few decades through trade and investment, tourism, education and cultural exchanges. “Regular high-level contacts are further strengthening our partnership,” he said.

He said that Malaysia looks forward to welcoming more Bangladeshi tourists in the coming days.
