Sheikh Bashiruddin said, the mechanical capacity of the hospital is necessary but not enough. We need to create a mentality of providing services to our patients by combining practical knowledge, mechanical capacity and human capacity.

The Commerce Adviser said, the government is committed to child health protection. He urged all the doctors, nurses and officials of the hospital to ensure the best health care for children by ensuring the proper use of modern technology.

In his speech at the inauguration ceremony, Professor Dr. AKM Azizul Haque, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bangladesh Children’s Hospital and Institute, said that the opportunities for children suffering from heart disease to receive medical care have further expanded with the resumption of the activities of this important unit of the hospital.

It is worth noting that with the completion of the reconstruction work of this cardiac ICU unit, it is now equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment and facilities, which will play an effective role in saving the lives of children with serious heart diseases. On April 19, 2024, a fire broke out in the cardiac ICU of Bangladesh Children’s Hospital and Institute in Agargaon, Dhaka. Due to the fire, the cardiac ICU was severely damaged and the unit’s activities were closed for a long time. An initiative was taken to reconstruct and launch the cardiac ICU unit with the overall support of Akij Bashir Group.
