Parliamentary election schedule to be announced in second week of December: Chief Election Commissioner

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin has expressed hope that the schedule for the 13th national parliamentary elections will be announced in the second week of December.

He informed reporters after inspecting mock voting at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Government Girls’ High School in the capital on Saturday (November 29, 2025) morning.

Regarding the organization of mock voting, Nasir Uddin said, the EC wanted to see the overall situation of what kind of environment should be maintained in an ideal situation when elections are held. This mock voting is being organized to show that the people have not seen the voting process in the last fifteen years and to inform them about the voting process. At the same time, the time taken for two ballots is also being observed.
