GMP Commissioner Israel Hawlader pledges all-out efforts to improve law and order in Gazipur

A meeting was held with the newly appointed Police Commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police, Md. Israel Howlader, and leaders of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Gazipur Metropolitan and Gazipur District branches. The meeting was held at the conference room of GMP Headquarters on Tuesday (November 25, 2025).

In the meeting, Jamaat leaders presented various important proposals and opinions, including drug control, suppression of jute business syndicates, control of auto-rickshaws on highways, development of traffic system, prevention of robbery and robbery, and protection of marginalized communities, to ensure overall peace and security in Gazipur metropolis. They assured of continuing all-out cooperation with the police to keep Gazipur city livable and safe.

Police Commissioner Md. Israil Hawlader said in his speech, “GMP is working with utmost professionalism and rigor to control drugs, improve law and order, control traffic, suppress jute syndicates and prevent theft and robbery in Gazipur. Everyone’s cooperation is essential to keep the city safer.”

Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Ops), Deputy Police Commissioners and other senior officials of GMP were present in the meeting.
