Dr. MA Qayyum, Microfinance Secretary of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), paid a courtesy call on Abdullah Ali Kasef Almoudi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Dhaka.
The meeting held at the Ambassador’s office on Tuesday (October 28) discussed mutual interests, economic cooperation and various aspects of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

In the meeting, Dr. MA Qayyum called for further easing visa process and creating new employment opportunities for skilled and unskilled workers of Bangladesh in the UAE. He said, “Bangladesh has a large youth population that is capable and skilled. They can play an important role in the development of the UAE and the Gulf countries.”
Ambassador Abdullah Ali Kasef Almoudi assured the UAE of its continued support for the socio-economic development of Bangladesh. He said, “The relations between the two countries are based on historical bonds. This relationship will deepen and strengthen in the future as well.”

At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed their determination to further advance the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the UAE on the basis of mutual respect, understanding and cooperation. Prominent social worker and businessman Monir Hossain was present at the meeting.
