BGMEA holds meeting with Japan’s Asian Apparel Production Network (AAP) delegation

A high-level delegation from Japan’s Asian Apparel Production Network (AAP) met with the Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).

The delegation came to BGMEA to explore possibilities of expanding cooperation in Bangladesh’s ready-made garments and textiles sector. Senior officials from leading Japanese apparel and textile companies participated in the meeting.

The meeting, held with BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan and board members, discussed various aspects of enhancing trade, investment and innovation cooperation between the two countries.

The Japanese delegation expressed keen interest in Bangladesh’s sustainable and ethical production initiatives and appreciated Bangladesh’s growing leadership in responsible production systems.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen mutual cooperation in the future and work together to expand garment trade.
