On Tuesday (September 30, 2025) at 7:30 pm, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Sheikh Md. Sajjat Ali ndc inspected the overall security arrangements at Siddheswari Kali Temple in the capital on the occasion of Sharadiya Durga Puja, the largest religious festival of the traditional religion.
Wishing everyone a Sharadiya, the DMP Commissioner said, “This year, Sharadiya Durga Puja is being held in 254 pavilions in Dhaka metropolis with great enthusiasm and festive atmosphere. There is no security risk in this year’s Puja.”
He also said that a separate security plan has been taken to complete the Bisharjan procession on Vijaya Dashami without any hitches. He expressed hope that the Durga Puja formalities will end smoothly with the collective efforts of everyone and sought the cooperation of all concerned for this.
DMP Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Operations) S. N. Md. Nazrul Islam PPM and other senior officials were present at the time.
