Russian Ambassador Calls for Building a Reliable Framework for International Relations in Speech at National Defense College

Russian Ambassador to Bangladesh Alexander Khozin delivered a speech at the National Defense College (NDC).

In his speech, he highlighted the current crisis of the world system, Russia’s vision for building a reliable framework for international relations, and the need to establish indivisible security in Eurasia. He said, “Unfortunately, the UN and other multilateral institutions are under serious pressure. The international legal system is under test: some countries are trying to replace it with the concept of ‘rules-based world order.’”

Ambassador Khozin also said that regional organizations such as the African Union, OIC, ASEAN, Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and Eurasian Economic Union are playing an increasingly important role in world politics and economy.

At one stage of his speech, he highlighted the current state of Russia-Bangladesh bilateral relations and answered various questions from the officials present.

At the end of the speech, a documentary titled “Shaping an Equal and Indivisible Security Architecture” produced by the Security Council of the Russian Federation was screened.
