Bangladesh Foreign Affairs Adviser attends preparatory meeting for emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Qatar

Bangladesh Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Towhid Hossain attended the preparatory meeting for the emergency Arab-Islamic summit convened to discuss Israel’s attack on Qatar in Doha, Qatar on Sunday (September 14, 2025).

Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani chaired the meeting. The meeting was addressed by Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Hussein Ibrahim Taha and Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit.

The Foreign Affairs Adviser arrived in Qatar this morning to participate in the two-day emergency Arab-Islamic summit. He is leading the Bangladesh delegation. The other members of the delegation are Additional Foreign Secretary M Farhadul Islam, Bangladesh’s Permanent Representative to the OIC MJH Javed and Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Qatar Mohammad Hazrat Ali Khan.

The main conference will be held on Monday to discuss Israel’s invasion of Qatar.
