On Thursday (September 11, 2025) at 11 am, Russian Ambassador to Bangladesh Mr. Alexander G. Khojin paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at the office of Bashundhara in the capital. At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador inquired about Dr. Shafiqur Rahman’s health and wished him a speedy recovery. Political Counselor Mr. Anton Chernov was present with the Ambassador at the time.
The courtesy meeting was held in a sincere and cordial atmosphere. The meeting discussed the current situation in Bangladesh, Bangladesh-Russia bilateral relations, investment and various issues in the international arena. The Ambassador assured that Russia will continue to support Bangladesh and expressed hope that Russian investment in Bangladesh will increase further in the future.
In addition, the Ambassador invited Dr. Shafiqur Rahman to attend an International Islamic Conference to be held in Moscow, which he accepted.
The meeting was attended by the organization’s Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Dhaka Metropolitan North Jamaat Medical Police Station Ameer Dr. SM Khaliduzzaman, and Ameer-e-Jamaat’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan.
