German Envoy Visits AMANN Bangladesh Manufacturing Plant

Ms. Anja Kersten, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Dhaka, visited the manufacturing plant of AMANN Bangladesh Limited, a proud member of AMANN Group Germany, along with two officials from the Embassy.

Mr. Md. Rokonuzzaman, FCA, Country Managing Director of AMANN Bangladesh Ltd. and Director of the Bangladesh German Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BGCCI), together with the senior leadership team of AMANN Bangladesh, warmly welcomed Ms. Kersten and her delegation.

During the visit, Ms. Kersten toured the state-of-the-art production facilities and was briefed on AMANN’s journey in Bangladesh since its establishment in 2013 as a joint venture with Standard Group. The discussions highlighted AMANN’s strong contribution to Bangladesh’s textile and apparel sector through world-class products, operational excellence, and a deep commitment to sustainability.

The visit also underscored AMANN’s alignment with Germany’s values of innovation, quality, and responsibility. AMANN Bangladesh has consistently invested in sustainable practices, such as energy-efficient operations, resource optimization, and community development initiatives, reaffirming its role as a responsible partner in Bangladesh’s industrial growth.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Kersten expressed her appreciation for AMANN’s contribution to fostering Germany-Bangladesh economic ties and emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in sustainable manufacturing and innovation.
