Sonali Life Insurance upgraded to “A” category by regulatory authority

The country’s leading life insurance company, Sonali Life Insurance Company Limited, has been upgraded from “Z” category to “A” category, effective from September 1, 2025, as announced by the insurance industry authority.

Sonali Life’s press release informed this information. The press release said that the reclassification is a significant achievement for the company and reflects the regulator’s confidence in the company’s strong foundation, performance and corporate governance standards and financial discipline.

Meanwhile, the company successfully concluded its 11th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on August 31, 2025. In the meeting, the shareholders approved a 10% cash dividend for the financial year ending December 31, 2023.

The approval of dividend distribution is a testament to the company’s stable financial position and its continued commitment to maximize shareholder returns.
