The sixth anniversary of the voluntary organization ‘Chalo Gari Belab’ and the grand inauguration of Belab Public School were held in Belab, Narsingdi. People from different classes and professions, including teachers, students, volunteers, guardians, and people related to education, social and humanitarian activities, participated in the program organized at Belab Public School grounds on Saturday (September 5, 2026) morning.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain Bakul was supposed to be present as the chief guest at the program. However, he could not attend as he was on a foreign tour. The inauguration of the program, former assistant professor of Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, eminent educationist, industrialist and social worker Enayetuddin Md. Kaiser Khan, was also unable to attend due to physical illness.
The main speaker at the event was Md. Ahsan Habib Biplob, the convener of Belab Upazila BNP and former Upazila Parishad Chairman. In his speech, he expressed hope for necessary cooperation including government registration to advance the activities of Belab Public School. At the same time, he praised the initiatives of ‘Cholo Gari Belab’ and the people associated with Belab Public School.
The patron, prominent businessman and social worker Tanvir Ahmed Biplob, said that Belab Public School can play an important role in expanding education and creating quality educational opportunities in Belab. He expressed hope to be by his side in the development of the school in the future.
The event was presided over by Md. Nasir Uddin Bhuiyan, the landowner of Belab Public School, prominent businessman and social worker. He sought everyone’s cooperation in running the school and thanked everyone involved in the event.
The speakers at the event expressed hope for positive changes in the education sector surrounding Belab Public School. According to them, the institution can create new opportunities for local students through planned and quality educational programs. They praised the directors for taking the initiative to establish and run the school and sought the cooperation of the local people in the progress of the institution.
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Syeda Tanzina Afrin, Belab Upazila BNP Joint Convener Md. Ataur Rahman Bachchu and Belab Upazila Jubo Dal President Akhtaruzzaman Akhter were present as special invited guests. The program was moderated by Assistant Professor of the English Department of the Asian University of Bangladesh Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan.
A directional discussion was held on the career planning and future path of general students at the program. Later, appointment letters were distributed among the teachers appointed at Belab Public School, greeting gifts were given to retired teachers and volunteers who contributed to social and humanitarian activities were honored. Distinguished people who made special contributions in various fields were also honored.
In addition, scholarships were given to students who achieved success in the ‘Chalo Gari Belab’ merit search test. A sewing machine was also gifted to a poor person to make him self-reliant.
The speakers at the event emphasized on expanding the scope of social and humanitarian activities of ‘Chalo Gari Belab’. At this time, gratitude was expressed for the contributions of donor members and volunteers in the country and abroad. At the same time, the organizers and those concerned expressed their determination to develop Belab Public School as a quality and best educational institution in Belab.
At the end of the event, a group photo session was held with the participation of guests, teachers, volunteers and organizers and a cake was cut to commemorate the sixth anniversary of ‘Chalo Gari Belab’. Later, the event was declared over with a vote of thanks.
