On Friday, February 7, 2025, His Excellency Mr. Mansour Chavoshi, the Ambassador of Iran to Bangladesh, hosted a grand reception at Hotel Westin in Dhaka to commemorate the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, the Honorable Advisor to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, who attended as the Chief Guest.

The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the playing of the national anthems of both countries as a tribute. The Honorable Advisor and the Iranian Ambassador inaugurated the event by cutting a ceremonial cake.

During his speech, Ambassador Mr. Mansour Chavoshi stated, “The August Revolution in Bangladesh Represented the Unity of the people. It was a Movement that sorted with their peoples wises and changes of Future. From the beginning we are all support the interim government specking the efforts for progress and bright future.
Bangladesh us Shown No Change is possible without peoples unity and efforts. I hope that the people of Bangladesh will achieve great success in all sectors such as economy, education, technology and culture.”

Honorable Advisor Mr. Mostofa Sarwar Farooki expressed his appreciation, saying, “It’s an honor for me to be here today to celebrate the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran. On behalf of the Government of the people of Bangladesh I extend best wishes to the people of Iran. Bangladesh and Iran share a long standing History of culture, Religion and linguistic ties as Honorable ambassador say. For century’s the Persian language and reach literally traditions and influence our region strengthening the bonds between our peoples.”
He also said, “The recent people’s movement, which we call the July Movement, has ushered in a new era. As our government moves forward with this vision, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering partnerships with friendly nations like Iran.”
The event was attended by ambassadors, diplomats from various countries, political leaders, retired military officers, and high-ranking government officials.
