The BNP government’s cabinet is going to undergo a major reshuffle for the first time. As part of this, four ministers and two state ministers took oath at Bangabhaban on Friday evening. After the oath-taking of the new ministers and state ministers, intense discussions have started in the political arena regarding the distribution of responsibilities of various ministries.

Newly elected President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir administered the oath of office to the new ministers and state ministers at Bangabhaban immediately after taking oath as President.
The six people who got new responsibilities are—
Dr. Abdul Moin Khan — Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives
Barrister Andalib Rahman Partha — Minister for Information
Saching Pru Jerry — Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs
M Rashiduzzaman Millat — Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism
Humayun Kabir — Minister of State for Foreign Affairs
Mohammad Shamim Kaiser Lincoln — Minister of State for Religious Affairs
With this change in the cabinet, new leadership is coming to several important ministries of the government. After taking the oath, the new ministers and ministers of state are now waiting for the formal distribution of responsibilities.
As this is the first major cabinet reshuffle during the government’s tenure, those concerned are keeping an eye on the work plans and administrative activities of the new appointees.
