3rd Youth Forum on Agricultural Biotechnology inaugurated at North South University

The inaugural session of the 3rd Youth Forum on Agricultural Biotechnology was held at North South University (NSU) on Saturday (13 September 2025). The two-day (13 and 14 September) event, jointly organized by NSU, OIC-COMSTECH and the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), was attended by policymakers, academics and international experts.

Speakers at the inaugural session said that the role of biotechnology through research and innovation is very important in ensuring food security. Through the forum, participants will get an opportunity to learn about various aspects, innovative applications and prospects of modern agricultural technology.

Multiple technical sessions will be held on the second day of the event. Experts from various countries including Turkey, Malaysia, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan will speak in these sessions. Organizers said the forum will make an important contribution to knowledge exchange and international cooperation in agricultural biotechnology.
