28 Bangladeshis seeking repatriation from Iran return home in first batch

In view of the war situation that has emerged in Iran, the process of repatriating Bangladeshis stranded there has begun. As part of this, the first group of Bangladeshis seeking repatriation—a total of 28 people—returned to Bangladesh by plane from Karachi, Pakistan on Tuesday (July 01, 2025).

According to Bangladesh Embassy sources, the embassy is working tirelessly to bring back other Bangladeshis seeking repatriation from Iran as soon as possible. Communication with the concerned authorities and flight-related activities are underway.

The embassy expressed hope that the remaining Bangladeshis in Iran will also return home safely soon.
