13th Parliament members to be sworn in by February 17: Press Secretary

The oath-taking ceremony of the members of parliament elected in the 13th National Parliament election will be completed by February 17. Press Secretary of the Office of the Chief Adviser, Shafiqul Alam, told reporters at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Saturday morning that interest has been expressed in the matter of taking the oath, so it will be completed very soon. He said that if there is a delay, it can be extended to February 16 or 17 at the most.

The Press Secretary also said that preparations for the oath-taking ceremony have started the day after the election. However, a final decision has not yet been made on who will administer the oath in the absence of the Speaker. Shafiqul Alam said, “Detailed information on this matter will be provided later.”
