Youth and Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan announced awards for medal winners in Asian Archery

The 24th Asian Archery Championship concluded successfully in Dhaka on Friday (November 14, 2025). In this competition, Bangladeshi archers showed great success by winning two medals, competing with top competitors like India and South Korea.

Bangladeshi Himu Bachar and Banya Akhter won the silver medal in the compound mixed team event. On the other hand, Kulsum Akhter Moni won the bronze medal after showing an outstanding performance in the compound women’s singles.

The government has announced that the three medal-winning archers—Himu Bachar, Banya Akhter and Kulsum Akhter Moni—will be awarded Tk 1 million each as encouragement and recognition. Youth and Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan made this announcement after the award distribution ceremony on Friday afternoon.
