Government issues notification reassigning 8 state ministers’ portfolios

Desk Report:

The government’s 8 state ministers’ portfolios have been reassigned. A notification in this regard has been issued by the Cabinet Division on Wednesday, March 04, 2026.

According to the notification, Md. Shariful Alam, who is the State Minister for the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Textiles and Jute, has been given the responsibility of the Textiles and Jute Ministry.

Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, who is in charge of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock and Ministry of Food, has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock. Habibur Rashid, who is in charge of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, Ministry of Railways and Ministry of Shipping, has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Railways and the Road Transport and Highways Department.

Another State Minister for the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, Ministry of Railways and Ministry of Shipping, Md. Rajib Ahsan has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Shipping and the Bridges Division.

Md. Jonayed Abdur Rahim Saki, who was the Minister of State for the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Planning, has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Planning. Farzana Sharmin, who was the Minister of State for the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs and the Ministry of Social Welfare, has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Social Welfare.

In addition, Md. Nurul Haque, who was in charge of the Ministry of Labor and Employment and the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, and Bobby Hajjaj, who was the Minister of State for the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
