Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s wife Dr. Zubaida Rahman has said that Bangladesh will one day become a safe country for all women and girls. The indomitable spirit, honesty and leadership of women are the main foundation for the progress of society and the state.
She said these things at a discussion organized at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital on Sunday (March 8, 2026) morning on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
Dr. Zubaida Rahman said that indomitable spirit is the greatest strength of a person. The strength of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia was her determination and courageous leadership. She has set a shining example of women’s leadership in the country’s politics and struggle for democracy.
Calling for a renewed commitment to honesty, dignity and social justice on the occasion of Women’s Day, she said that when women move forward, the nation also moves forward. Women’s empowerment is essential in building a prosperous and just society.
He expressed optimism that through collective efforts and positive initiatives, Bangladesh will become a safe and promising country for all women and girls.
