The ‘National Revolution and Solidarity Day’ was celebrated with due dignity across the country on Friday (November 7, 2025) in commemoration of the Sepoy-People’s Uprising of November 7, 1975. The day was celebrated to commemorate the historic moment of the emergence of martyred President Ziaur Rahman as a statesman.
On the occasion of the day, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) took out various programs including discussion meetings, rallies, and processions. In the morning, the party flag was hoisted at all BNP offices across the country. At 10 am, the party’s top leaders laid wreaths at the tomb of martyred President Ziaur Rahman in Banani, participated in prayers and prayers.
In the afternoon, a colorful procession was taken out from the central office in Nayapaltan in the capital under the initiative of the BNP’s Dhaka Metropolitan North and South branches. In addition, party branches at district and upazila levels across the country also hold similar programs.
Around the day, BNP’s associate organizations organize various events such as discussion meetings, cultural programs, photo and documentary exhibitions, and distribution of educational materials to orphaned students.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, “Even today, after the mass uprising, various conspiracies are going on in the country to destroy democracy. At this moment, we have to move forward on the path of building a democratic state, drawing strength from the spirit of November 7. BNP is working to ensure the people’s right to vote and the right to justice.”
He also said, “The spirit of November 7 will take us forward—towards establishing a prosperous, democratic Bangladesh.”
