The Election Commission (EC) has announced the roadmap for the Union Parishad (UP) elections. According to the announced schedule, the elections will be held in five phases. The electoral process will commence with the first phase of voting on January 21 and conclude with the fifth phase on May 27.
Election Commissioner Abul Fazal Md. Sanaullah announced the election roadmap at a press conference held at the Election Commission Secretariat on Monday (October 12).
As per the announced roadmap, voting for the first phase is scheduled for January 21. Voting for the second phase will take place on February 4. Subsequently, the Election Commission has set dates for the third phase on April 29, the fourth phase on May 13, and the fifth phase on May 27.
According to the schedule announced by the EC, plans have been made to complete the Union Parishad elections in five phases. The voting process will begin with the first phase in January and conclude with the fifth phase towards the end of May.
