Union-based committees to be formed for development work – Deputy Speaker

Desk Report:

A 15-member delegation of Imams from his constituency paid a courtesy call on Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Bangladesh Barrister Kaiser Kamal MP at his office in the Parliament Building. During this, the Deputy Speaker inquired about everyone and sought everyone’s cooperation and prayers for the discharge of his duties.

On Sunday (April 19, 2026), Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Bangladesh Barrister Kaiser Kamal MP said these things during a meeting with a 15-member delegation of Imams from his area at his office in the Parliament Building. He said, “You are aware that people of different religions live in my area. Everyone will be invited to observe the Parliament Building and the Parliament session in stages. You have come today, a Christian delegation came earlier. In this way, everyone will be invited so that people of all classes and professions in my area can gain their idea about the Parliament.”

The Deputy Speaker said, I was elected as a member of parliament by your votes and because of you, today I have been nominated as the Deputy Speaker in the great parliament. I have a lot of responsibility and accountability towards you. Union-based committees will be formed for developmental work. Corruption and nepotism will have to reach zero level from the society and through you, the court will have to be settled in the society. I have been acting with 100% honesty and want to work with honesty. Please pray that Allah will cooperate with me in all my works.
